we start our gasgas bike,it starts but wont stay started.

Has the bike sat up for a while if so clean the carbgood soak it and blow it out with high pressure air if not contact me with more info

This sounds like the ignition timing is off.
check the stator mounting screws havent come loose under the left engine cover, and check the flywheel hasnt sheared the key.
turn the flywheel to TDC mark and check the piston is at the very top, with a pencil or similar down the plug hole(dial guage is best)

I jumped stared my 03 620 ducati sport with a car(it was running). bkie wont start now. all dash components have power when key out of bike.


im not sure but think cycles have 9volt system not 12 as in cars,maybe fuse blown or damaged battery

89 ranger i was driving than it just stalled. i have spark, i have fuel but no fire. but it wont start, if i put starting fluid in the intake it will run for a second then stall.


If you can keep spraying staring fluid and it stays running then the fuel pump is no pumping. only with a pressure gauge can you test it

93 katana 600 wont start


Take one of the plugs out and hold it against the head while the engine cranks. You should get decent spark. If not, you have an ignition problem. If it gets decent spark, try spraying some starting fluid into the air cleaner box. If the engine starts up and runs for a couple seconds, you have a fuel delivery problem.

GasGas 280 Pampera Kickstart


  1. Remove the bolt from the kick start(where it attaches to the motor)
  2. slide kicker off the shaft
  3. move it forward a few shaft teeth
  4. slide kicker back on
  5. reinstall bolt
