If you have not been an accident and bent the front fork, there are several reasons for this: the stearing bearings on the stearing shaft are out of adjustment or have worn out bearings or races, the front disk break is grabbing on one side, the wheel is out of alignment...

SOURCE: zzr1100 when riding at very low speed steering is twitchy.

you need to check your tyre and it may also require balancing as it is a big bike. The bearing do not normally cause this but it is a good and safe thing to check it.

Power steering electric

Hello,

If the chair wants to drive left then you have a disengaged left motor clutch lever or a left motor going bad. Then M51 will not give an error code if the clutch is disengaged. If the chair is veering left as you are driving but you are still able to turn to turn right then the motor is not likely to be disengaged but has a brush or gear problem.
It is also possible that the joystick is not working well. The joystick is much less likely to be the problem unless it is damaged somehow.

2006 malibu with electric power steering

When you turn the wheel to the right, the vehicle (when in motion) will veer to the right. Conversely, when you turn the wheel to the left, the vehicle (again, when in motion) will veer to the left.
The turning of the steering wheel is made easier by the advent of the electric power steering. its precursor, hydraulic steering assist, performed the same task in a different manner.
Is that what you were asking? NO? SHOCKING!
(PLEASE ASK AN ACTUAL QUESTION THAT CAN BE ANSWERED.)

2000 ford windstar steering wheel shakes horribly and I let go of wheel veers to the right

These are two seperate problems. The veering to the left is your alignment. This is cheap, about 80 bucks at sears. The shaking is usually ur transmission or tcs

OK i have a 2009 nissan xterra first off I love it, 2nd off i got 2 brand new tires put on the front and the ones from the front put on the rear. Well the tire man told me i needed an alignment bc it was...

I would get a second opinion. Apparently the tire guy may have got the alignment right, but didn't check for loose suspension or steering parts that will cause your problem. Have your inner and outer tie rods checked for wear and looseness. Also the suspension's ball joints.

Power steering fluid leaking out, car hard to drive, going straight and turning. feels like car is veering off road

First you will need to isolate where the leak is coming from. Then you will need to determine if the lack of power steering assist is causing the vehicle to veer off the road. You may want to call the dealer, I beleive there may be a recall for a hose on the power steering. You can call your local dealer and supply them with your VIN and they can tell you if your vehicle is covered under the recall. Good Luck

Steering veers to the left?

Drive slowly down the middle of a straight road, let the steering wheel go and apply the brakes. If the car wants to turn by itself check your ball joints and shocks. If the car remains straight you may have an irregular wearing tire which causes it wonder at higher speeds.
I hope this helps

1997 diesel suburban steering goes left

I doubt it's your 4x4. Most transfer case will start turning the front driveshaft, meaning that BOTH front wheels would try to turn.

Could be a brake pad/caliper locking up on your left wheel. That'll make that wheel turn slower resulting in the veering left.

Could also be a wheel bearing. However usually you'll hear a grinding noise to go along with that. And it'll pull rather consistently in that direction rather than suddenly.

Or, what first comes to mind is that your steering box is loose, or the gear inside the steering box is stripped in one spot. Or your front tie rods could be shifting or possibly ball joints. These would cause a sudden shifting/veering.

All of these things are front end related. And also very dangerous. Take it down to any alignment shop, have them put it on a lift, and diagnose immediately.

Worse case scenerio is that a front end part breaks and sends you out of control and into someone else. Please get it checked. A diesel Suburban could do a lot of damage.
