SOURCE: 1995 Toyota camry Le 4C Missing Problem -

i have came across simler problems in the past so im going to give you a list of four main suspects number 1; a broken or pereshed vacuum hose at the trottle body or inlet manifold.2 a blocked injector 3 a fuel injection system fault 4 a disconnected /leaking or perished crankcase ventilation hose. Before you try any of these by a can of fuel cleaner and run it through your system remember a small piece of dirt half the size of grain of salt is enough to cause this problem good luck.adrian

If it just started this after the tune up, you probably have a faulty spark plug.

SOURCE: engine check light& error code p0301 on my 2003 rav 4,

Unless your computer in your car is faulty... the check engine light came on because it, or one of your vehicle's many sensors detected something within your vehicle was not operating under preset factory conditions. Fortunately, the error code that was extracted was indeed a cylinder # 1 misfire, which is fairly basic. Could be a bad spark plug, wire, etc. or you may have gotten some condensation inside the plug boot. Your mechanic did indeed clear the code, but drive it for awhile and see if it repeats. Normally with a cylinder misfire, you'll notice a small stutter when you accelerate or idle. If your Check Engine light returns, have the codes extracted once more. If the same cylinder is misfiring, have him replace the spark plug and wires.

Start with the plug wires. You may need new plugs but my experiance is that the plug wires are the first to go.

2001 honda s2000 miss fire when ac is on No cel and also only when cold. stops when wormed up

Of course it could be a defective plug or a failing coil for that one cylinder. A steady miss fire should set a trouble code.
You might take another look at the plugs and the connector between the plug and the coil. It could also be a fuel problem such as a fuel filter or O2 sensor.
You may need to hook a scanner to the computer and watch the sensors when the engine is cold compared to warmed up.

After motor warms up it starts to miss, mph has gone from 28 to 20. Computer does not code. 1990 chevy lumna 3.1 motor

If the car has a miss in an OBD-I era vehicle, take the car to a technician who can test which cylinder is missing and whether it is due to lack of spark (like a wire, or plug, or coil) or a bad fuel injector (not firing, or clogged at the cylinder in question, or a computer).

Both conditions on OBD-I era vehicles may not trigger a code.

Good luck on this repair.

98Eclipse 2.0 nonTurbo 5speed 180,000 miles ,code PO301

The po301 is a misfire code. The backfire can be caused by a excessive amount of fuel, bad valve timing etc.
My guess is you have damage to an exhaust valve that may have occurred when you had the timing belt problem.A compression test will indicate if you have a leaking exhaust valve. The reason for the backfire is the exhaust valve is still partially open when the spark plug fires.
