Offhand, I am not familiar with "50 cc ref and go". But if it is a 2 stroke 50cc engine, then power loss could be caused by:

  • incorrect fuel mix;
  • overheating engine;
  • ignition issues.
Post back to describe more your concern and the specifics of the engine/bike.

not enough exhaust flow will cause it to be sluggish -- open the exhaust up so it breathes.

get a bigger machine ... The so called 50 cc motor bike is a regulation beater with typically 49 cc. If you need more speed and power, get a bigger machine. Typically, they are at 49 cc so the younger crowd can ride at a certain age.

My derbi senda keeps losing power when i start to accelerate hard but when i accelerate slowly its fine

Hi, Troy and the usual suspects are:
1. Throttle cables misaligned or misrouted.
2. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
3. Inlet system air leak.
4. Vacuum piston malfunction.
5. Accelerator pump leaking or no output.
6. Plugged bowl vent.
7. Fuel level in bowl too low.
8. Restricted fuel supply passages.
9. Plugged jets or passages.
10. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
12. The enricher valve not seated or leaking.

All engines are tunable! There is an 80cc big bore kit available here

Just don't expect neck wrenching acceleration and 5 mile wheelies. Good luck. And keep it rubber side down.

What oil (4 or 2 stroke) oil for 50 cc CPI scooter

Model: CPI Oliver 50
Displacement: 50.00 ccm (3.05 cubic inches)
Engine type: Single cylinder, two-stroke
Power: 4.40 HP (3.2 kW))

You have to use 2 stroke engine oil.
