Go to thesuperkids.com and read up on the 2010eZIPe500 which is the same vehicle. the s500 has been discontinued, I think since 2008 and replaced with this model.

Since this deals with the light/turn signal, it sounds like you would need to unscrew that portion of your scooter and the relay should be present there. You can use an image from ebay to help you identify it once you've unscrewed the covering for your flasher/blinker.
From Schwinn support page: "Currie Tech has licensed the Schwinn logos for use on their electric scooters. If you're looking for any type of information, parts, or service for your scooter, please visit their web site at Currie Technologies Hybrid Best Electric Bikes and Bicycles Bike" They may be able to ID the model year if that is important to you. It appears they no longer manufacture bikes under the Schwinn name, however. But for a battery just Google "Schwinn lightning fs 2.0 battery".
i had the same problem so i took the battery out and pluged the moped in and it ran so i knew the battery had a prob then i took the battery out of the canvas case and it had expanded to the point were it almost leaked (exploded battery in other words)
Hi, Well it sounds like you have a wire not connected or the Twist throttle part is bad. The best thing is to use Volt meter on each battery and make sure they are at 13 volts of more. If they are 11-12 volts the batteries are no good. When you turn the switch on does it make a Click sound? Take off your battery access panel it is where you put your feet. Your batteries have a red and black wire with a wiring harness attached to them. This is where you want to make sure they are plugged in. If they are Plugged in Your Scooter has to Have a Blown Fuse. Check these out and get back to me with what you find. Batteries last 1 year if you take good care of them.
