Depends on where the metal broke off from. be more specific on where the pice broke off from? if your not sure investigate a little more.

The kick starter of my sym 125 is jammed. the kick doesnt go down for ignition. stuck

OK...jammed up or down? jammed up... motor may be locked up. jammed down, the starter gear is likely over travelled and stuck. sounds like a trip to the dealership..sorry.

I have recently bought a '72 CB350 twin. Everthing worked but now the kickstarter won't. The kickstarter will go all the way down and return, there is no combustion sound. It will turn the wheel...

possible problem as this is a common thing on the CB360's. What happens is the kick leg tends to slip out of sync with the engaging gear, it will be under the right side cover. Some times you need to remove the cover and manually put it back in to sync.

Otherwise you have stripped your kick starter gear.

Bike appears seazed, was ok when i parked it in garage lastnite.but now the kick start is stuck it wont start in nuteral & when i attempt to push start it in 2nd it is jammed

take spark plugs out and try turning engine over by putting it top gear and turn rear wheel by hand if it still doesnt turn then it mite be a dropped valve which will mean an engine top end strip down.

I am struggking to kick start my sons kawasaki kx 60 could it be a lack of compression which means a new piston and re bore of the barrell

yes that could be the problem. but before you do that strip ur bike down and check your pistons if there is a hole or scratches visable you might need a top end rebuild

My brake pads dont stay in the caliper on my thumpstar 120 pro, there is some silver wierd shape clip things that i think are ment to hold it inplace but they are snapped and i cant find the specific part....

I don't know what a "Thumpstar 120 Pro" is but you're right on about what the little silver wierd shaped clip things are. They're anti-rattle clips and the do hold the brake pads in the caliper bracket while you replace the caliper. You are putting the brake pads in the caliper bracket instead of trying to put them in the caliper, aren't you? Put the pads in the bracket and then carefully slide the caliper down over the pads without disturbing them. Make sure your pads are installed correctly.

Always test the brakes before attempting to ride the bike. Improper installation of the pads could cause brake failure that could cause serious injury or death. Make sure they're right before you ride.
