Screaming sound i ride my bike on monday and suddently over 6000rpm the bike starts to scream, and its loud. if was fine this weekend, any idea of what could be the prob?

  • n_vstaden Jan 20, 2009

the bike got new bearings, big ends and mains, new rings and the valves was reset and reshimed, the one outlet cam that was snaped from the previous owner was also replaced in november. i have driven 570km, changed the oil at 500km. it was fine like it used to be, more revs more sound but it screams louder then usual at 6000rpm, and now theres a grinding kinda sound with it that sounds to me its coming from the engine.

Its quite normal for these bikes to scream at high revs its what they do at the high revs though it becomes more apparent with engine age and thrashing into the high revs maybe a good service is due hope this helps

Briggs &Stratton model 331877 suddenly makes screaming loud rattle/clacking noise

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/835377/Vanguard-Ohv-V-Twin.html

Remove both spark plugs and test each cylinder for compression. Just press your thumb over the spark plug hole and crank engine. A good cylinder will forcibly push your thumb away with a pfft sound. Likely you'll find one cylinder has no compression.

If you have a dead cylinder, remove the rocker arm cover and assess the damage. If you're lucky you'll find a push rod out of place with no other damage.

Screaming noise from ac no cold air

It sounds to me that your belt or tensioner is worn, if the noise goes away when the ac is off then it is just the belt slipping, it takes a lot of power to run the compressor and if the belt is worn it most likely slipping on the pully when you engage the clutch.

Gio Bike - battery won't turn over

The power controller is probably driven by a switch mode power supply - like a cordless drill can be heard to make a subdued scream or whine as the trigger is eased just before the noise of the motor overtakes it. If for some reason your bike motor didn't make the customary noise, you could have heard the scream of the power controller for the first time.

Alternatively, maybe the bike motor was going round but the drive was disconnected or broken. Lots of things are designed so that part of the drive will snap or shear for safety in the case of a sudden seizure or impact, unfortunately such things often wear out and need routine replacement.

Maybe reading the handbook will provide the answer...

Screaming Maytag dryer

You're probably correct that it's bearings/bushings.

Take the front off by first popping the top. Lubricate all moving parts (mostly bushings/rollers/pulleys on shafts) including the motor shaft/bearings.

Don't get oil in belt path (like on a pulley where the belt will ride) or on the belt.

This should solve the problem.

Use something akin to 3-IN-1 Machine Oil.

Very loud squealing noise in spinn.

If your Maytag is a top loader equipped with a vertical transmission under the tub, the squealing may be coming from, either the brake assembly, or the snubber which the entire pedestal rides on.  Could you please post back comments and let me know if this is the type of washer you have?

Loud screaming sound during spin cycle

The screaming noise is probably from a dry bearing in the motor, it will probably come and go and shouldnt cause to much problem, they are supposed to be self lubricating but sometime they run dry.
