the sensor is connected to the head not the cover any other way to fix the problem

Did you verify the engine codes?

That is most likly a cam sensor and they are what times the the spark. Without it connected it doesn't know when to fire. You may not have the right engine, or at least not the right year and that sensor could be somewhere else. Compare the engine codes, find what that did come out of and find where that sensor is on the new motor. Another option is if that sensor is attached to the valve cover then consider swaping valve covers?

If you can't find another similar connection on the new motor, you might need to swap heads (if it's the same exact motor).

I 94 Kawasaki ninja ZX 900 B has a Suzuki motor in it with numbers 3713B3048 Motor dies when you put it into gear to take off

I'd deffinatly say that's the kickstand sensor if it's faulty the bike starts fine and revs but as soon as you go to drive it dies, the bike thinks the kickstand is still down look around the kickstand for wires when you find them disconnect em and try that

What oil should i be using in a 1989 kawasaki ZXR 250?

Best you can find. Rock Oil if you can. Stay away from the old Magnatek etc etc as I found them to be no better than the 15 quid cheaper Rock Oil. (Slick50 my ninja too! Old thing. )

How to change my oil on a kawasaki ninja 750

Get the bike so it is setting upright.
There a plug on the under side of the motor. Remove the plug and have a catch pan to catch the old oil. The filter will need to be changed also. Do this before you put new oil in. Put the plug back in and open the fill plug on the side of the engine and fill with new motorcycle oil. DO NOT USE OIL FOR CARS!! Watch that you do not over fill it.
