Hi, a two stroke engine relyes on 3 things to run, spark, fuel, compression, without 1 of the above the engine will not run, you say there was no smoke, this concerns me a two sroke engine makes smoke as it burns the oil used to lubricate the engine, was the bike down on power before it cut out? My thoughts are some damage has occured inside the cylinder, as a result your compression has been reduced, thus fuel canot be ignited as it passes the piston, instead of remaining inside the combustion chamber where the spark takes place, you should also check the condition of both the base and cylinder head gasket, remove cylinder head and check for contact marks where the piston may have made contact with it, contact of this part will cause damage to the piston, causing the rings to become seized into the piston thus reducing compesion

My gt750 seems to be starving/sluggish under acceleration

im guessing that its an early model with carbs these may need a good clean you may have water or dirt in your fuel the air filter may need replacing and the spark plugs and leads. from memory its a bit of a mission removing the carbs as i remember it is easier if the air box is removed first keep all parts seperate when striping the carbs if your not confident do them one at a time so you can use the next one as a reference if you get confused as to where the parts go use carbretta cleaner and compressed air to clean with dont use wire to clean the holes in the jets. clean the outside first before you remove the float bowls and use a good screwdriver the philips head screws have a tendancy to be difficult and and its not hard to chew the centre out of the screw if this happens use a centre punch and hammer punch the head of the screw to loosen it an impact driver should undoo tight screws that are not damaged

Location of and how to remove and replace - 2002 DeVille Sending Unit/Fuel Pump Module (4.6L engine)

These units are in the tank and must be dropped in order to replace.

WARNING Do not handle the fuel sender assembly by the fuel pipes. The amount of leverage generated by handling the fuel pipes could damage the joints.

  2. Drain the fuel tank to at most 3/4 of a tank full.
  3. Raise the vehicle.
  4. Remove the fuel tank.
NOTE The modular fuel sender support assembly will spring-up when the locking ring is moved.
  5. Remove the fuel sender assembly using tool J39765 Fuel Sender Locknut Wrench or an equivalent.
  6. Note the position of the fuel sender strainer for installation.
  7. Support the reservoir with one hand and grasp the fuel sender strainer with the other hand.

I would like some advice on how to tune a cs 3400 echo chain saw

Hi, you can't tune these, so if its not running smoothly, check air filter, clean and replace. Check spark plug, clean if necessary and replace. If problem persists it could be dirt in the carbretta, so flush this out with clean fuel, after this, drain fuel tank and replace with fresh fuel, ensure you have the correct mix of fuel.
Hope this helps

Hi, sounds like derty fuel, you will need to check and clean air and fuel filters; also wash your carbretta out with lean fuel. Drain fuel tank and replace with fresh fuel.
