Question about Motorcycles
I have a 1993 Suzuki katana 600 that will crank but no start it sat for two yeara and yhen.bought it from my father in law. I rebuilt the carbs and replaced the apark plugs but is having trouble starting. It wil run for a few moments until I twist the throttle then it dies. Ill crank it until my battery diea then have to charge it again. Ive messed with the air fuel mixture screw coming from.the bottom to see if that helps but still no luck. Any ideas?
Sounds like the carbs are out of sync. You need to check the fuel lines going from the tank to the carbs and sync the carbs up. keep in mind that all the pre 98 katanas are gravity fed.

better check for the ignition coil for proper sparking or igniting of current in the comprssion chamber, check the ignition coil spark plug wire, check the spark plug, check for proper fuel supply in the flow system to Carbs, check for Ignition timing of the bike, or still you cant solve or still worried then dont worry better take the bike to nearest aurhorised Suzuki service centre for better assistance on this problem surely the problem will be solved.

It sounds like the air/fuel mixture setting is not correct i dont know the setting for a ts125 but you can always go to ebay.com and buy a service manual for that bike and it will tell you all the correct settings for the carb.

SOURCE: i have a 1993 Suzuki
It can be low fuel issue, the fuel not reaching the engine, adjust the idle screw on carb for fuel air mixture.Set the idle up to 1.5.------- The pilot screw is the air/fuel screw on the bottom of each carb. -------turn IN the pilot screw a half turn and see how it runs.----- Also check, if the air filter is clean and not clogged. If all checked ok, and still the same problem, then it can be regulator stator issue. It has to be inspected.Click this link below:--- http://howtobyme.blogspot.com/2011/07/1993-suzuki-katana-600-runs-rough-and.html ----------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

check fuel flow from tank by sucking vacuum hose if fuel runs through if not inspect tap. but if yes pull out carbs and check float needle housing strainer. if is free from particles replace ignition coils and pulse generator.

Does this motorcycle have a radiator if so, make sure it's full if it is go online and see if there's a sensor that shuts the bike down when it gets too hot. Maybe there's something wrong with that
