I had the same problem, was a tiny air leak at the air/fuel intake manifold. Try starting it and spray with wd40 on to manifold, if this affects idle then thats wher the problem is

Sounds like a 2 stroke,if so,check the fuel mixture, make sure the oiler is working, and reeds
This is not caused by to much air.

Doesn't seem to be any power in my yzf426

piston may rings may be on way out. if you have a manual decomp lever make sure it hasnt tightend by itself. losen it off a bit and try again, after a few kicks with decomp in (no throttle). this happend to mine after being sat in cold weather for a week in the garage. other than that clean carb and jets, air filter ect and vavle clearance especially if you know its had more than 9 hours seat time without checking shims and seat+clearance.. check you have right jetting. also check your hot start nob for worn spring make sure its seating properly or it will be letting in to much air. good luck there a brilliant bike when running right.

Honda CR125 Motocross bike throttle delay

ALWAYS have a fire extinguisher on hand when working on carburetors.
Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side or bottom of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Now pull the top cap off the throat of the carb and remove the large slide. There will be a long needle in the center of the slide. Remove the needle and then move the clip at the top on the needle down one notch. Two notches may be required but start with one notch. Put it all back together and try it out. Moving the clip downward richens the low end fuel mix.

needs the carbs cleaned out, and possibly some new spark plugs. If it has been over 4K since the plugs were changed, they need replacing also.

Try adujsting the rev screw on the side of the carb, dont turn it any more than 1/8 at a time, turn it clockwise to increase revs, and anti-clockwise to decrease them
