You have to replace the Valve cover gasket. Inside the spark plug hole, midway down is a gasket, every spark plug hole has them, you cant see it because its, well a gasket pressed against two very tight suface every spark plug hole, When these leak they fil up the sprkplug cavity, as you know. Go to a parts store, spend $30 dollars on a VALVE COVER GASKET SET. If reparied properly wiil be a 100% fix. If it's a 4 cylinder honda,, a monkey with downs syndrom could do this in five minutes. V6 accord, save yourself the time, grief and heart ache, and take it to a Professional.
My 1998 mitisabitsi is blowing blue smoke and has oil around 1 spark plug can you please tell me what problem is,it still runs smoothly.
Need a valve cover gasket
SOURCE: oil on spark plug
no, not a blown headgasket, remove the valve cover and inspect the spark plug hole seals(tube seals in the valve cover) replace if brittle and old. also change the valve cover gasket since u have it off...adjust the valves as well
SOURCE: oil around spark plugs on 1992 honda accord
Yes the oil can cause the car to lose spark, the oil leak could be caused by the valve cover gaskets around the spark openings, but 9 times out of 10 it is the spark plug tube "O" rings. The top of the valve train comes off of the head, the "O" rings are between the two halves, that will fix the oil leak.
