Question about 2004 Yamaha V Star Classic
I rode it quite hard for about a half hour trip but was still running fine when I pulled into the garage at home. I switched it off, went inside for about an hour, but when I went to start it again the engine would not fire. It cranks fine, but just wont fire, the spark plugs look fine. and I don't think it got particually hot enough to melt anything. just cant seem to get it to spark..??
Change the coil you may not think it got hot but sometimes a coil can overheat on the inside just enough to break the copper winding. when riding hard slow down for a couple of miles to give everything time to get back to normal temps before shutting it off
