Hello what you need to do is take your exhaust servo off your bike then buy an exhaust servo eliminator which you can buy from ebay, i had same problem and it works fine now with no f1 light coming on.

SOURCE: 00 kawasaki ninja zx6r my bike don have no power,

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

I understand that you have checked the:

  • battery - that it is fully charged and that the cables & terminals / connectors are clean and tight;
  • fuses - including the 30 Amp main fuse;
  • starter relay - there is +12 on the white wire.
Should the above hold true, then the only remaining components to suspect / check would be the always on +12 connectors and/or the ignition switch.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

I have a 06 zx6r 636 Kawasaki Ninja, went out to start my bike and the turn signals won't work.Front or back , recently installed new blinkers. Looks like hazards are on, with no blinkers or lights

Hi, Anonymous if you installed LED lights for blinkers you need to install turn signal load equalizer to compensate for the lower wattage bulbs you may want to contact the manufacturer of the LED lights as different options are available but can be more time consuming and difficult to install load equalizers are plug n play for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. Zx6r 2004. Bike ran great for two months. Went out to dinner last night and came out to my bike not starting. Trailered it home, started when taking off trailer. Went for a 15 minute ride and parked it....

Hi, Matt it saddens me to inform you that you have to put on your Battery Priest Robe and prepare yourself for the Ceremonial "LOAD TEST" but before you begin, maintenance type batteries must be topped off with distilled Holy Water and all batteries must present their terminals to the battery charging altar to receive the electrical infusion of Holy Ions until they have reached a 100% full charge of 12.5 volts or better.
Below is a quick and easy test to see if your battery is in good condition or needs Last Rites and must be replaced.
1. Start by disconnecting the spark plug cables.
2. Adjust voltmeter to DC volts 20-volt range
3. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals.
4. Turn the run/off switch to run.
5. Turn the ignition switch on and press the starter button.
6. Watch the voltmeter as your engine turns over for 15 seconds.
7. If the voltage drops below 9.5 volts, the battery is faulty and must be replaced.

2000 Kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja how to replace the ignition switch

Hi, Frank for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Kawasaki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

2005 Kawasaki ZX-6R FI light stays on

Hi, Blk_carter it should be noted that the reasons your FI light stays on constantly or flashes and your bike will or will not start and may turn over or not, these conditions will vary from bike to bike depending on the year, make, and model and you should always refer to your owners/service manual for proper diagnostic procedures. It should also be noted that any type of prior work done to the bike or an abnormal event occurrence IE: adding accessories, electrical curiosity/adventures, laying the bike down/crashes, rain storms/bike washings just before FI light issues started can be significant hints/aids into tracking down the gremlin. The newer the bike the more sensitive the ECM becomes and will not let the bike start when aftermarket accessories have been installed without being reprogrammed. That being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty Fuel Pump, fuse or system relay switch.
2. Battery starting to fail due to old age/damage, perform a load test.
3. A discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Faulty safety switches/sensors: run/off, ignition, clutch lever, neutral, side stand, tip over, fuel, and or their connections.
5. Broken wire or worn insulation exposing wire to a ground situation especially inside wire harness at tight bends around fairing brackets, under dash panels, under fuel tanks over cylinder heads etc. Many harnesses are open on the ends that will allow water to enter and accumulate at v-bends.
Dielectric grease and contact cleaner are your best friends for wire/cable/harness connectors, look for corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets.
6. Installation of aftermarket accessories ie. exhaust systems, mufflers, air cleaners, fuel tuners, electrical component etc.

Kawasaki Kit ECU on '07 ZX-6R race bike

Hi, Simon_mcaule the answer to this question is way above my pay grade for this situation, I would call or visit my local dealer or reputable race shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. Not being able to pull codes really puts you in the dark, could be a faulty connection in the ignition circuit or you may have a temperamental ECM that doesn't like aftermarket performance parts, a face to face with your fuel tuner may also be in order.
