Question about Suzuki Motorcycles

I took the bike to a mechanic he said it was the cdi i bough one for a 2001 suzuki intruder 1500 which is the bike i have. And he says that when he installed it all the fuses blew out and that he thinks its a sensor. Has this ever happen to anyone?

Take it back to him ... he is the mechanic and you probably paid him to repair it. IT is his mystery to solve.

SOURCE: fuse box

The main fuse is under the panel on the right side behind the forks and the rest of the fuses are in the crank case under the cover...where you fill the oil.

Could be a bad starter push button,poor connection in wiring, bad safety switch.Need to track down with voltmeter if you can.
A good dealer may offer some help if you buy the parts needed from them.

Fuse box on 001 1500cc intruder


The fuses are under the chrome cover where you add oil.

My suzuki intruder 2001 1500 battery would not hold charge so i bought new battery. after two weeks and on road trip the bike battery did not have enough juice to turn engine over. took battery back and...


Check it is charging. The voltage of the battery should be about 14 volts with the engine running at just above idle. If it is lower than this (which I suspect) you will need a new regulator or rectifier. to identify which of these you need will require a visit to an auto electrician.

dear sir have your battery tested with a volt meter should read 12.7 volts if batt is good. it sounds like your batt is low on voltage.

on the right side of the bike just to the rear of the site glass there is a crome cover the filler is under that cover
