Question about 2004 Honda CBR 600 RR
The rev limit does come on, it's like i'm letting of the throttle a bit.
but before this happend my cbr was one of the fastest here in my city, then all of a suddin i felt like the bike had lost some power.so i raced a friend of mine who has a cbr 600rr 05 and his was a lot faster then mine. after that i let the bike sit for about a month, the battery died, i jumped started it and it had the problem.

hey m8,,,just looked at your problem,,to start with i need to uliminate a few things first,,is the bike restricted do u no,, to 33bhp,,that sounds the problem,, the restrictors could be in the carbs,to check this take the top of the carb off pull out the spring, and needle,, on the diaphram check theres no pin holes,by holdin it up to the light,,then on the needle u may see a bit of a plastic spacer or down the inside of the carb,if so then take that out or off,,and repeat this to all 4 carbs,,if nothing is visable,,then check the spark plug caps,and ht wires on the coil,, to be sure change all the plugs if they are not the plugs that should be in the bike,,see spec in a manual,4 the right heated spark plug,, and change the plug caps,try this first m8,, if still not havin any of it, ,shout andil anserw m8,, cheers

2 blinks is a MAP sensor performance problem.
Check the MAP sensor vacuum hose connections if its ok then you will need the ECM test harness cable from Honda to diagnose further.

first take off gas tank so you can access radiator cap......just lossen it..then find drain plug and let her rip..i by the way race my bike on and off and use Kool-Aide as a substitute because of racing requirement and have had no trouble with it.runs a little cooler actually.get all those fairings out of the way and it should be very simple.

its best to change the engine oil after the first 500 miles then again at 1000, by then it wont realy matter to much so long as its done twice yearly as they have very soft cam shafts
