Check the voltage. Your batery should measure 11 or more volts, maybe up to 13 volts at rest. If is is fewer, you should replace the battery. Potentially, your battery is 10 or more years old. Battery life is typically fewer than 5 years in the best case. Your battery dealer can test your battery and more properly advise you on a course of action to follow.

KMX 125 -99 i need to ask what part is controlling the thermostat/ignition. the thermostat is pending between normal temperature to very high temperature, when this happened the bike was happen to...

Hi, Alex the thermostat on your bike is controlled by coolant temperature when the bike is cold the thermostat is closed as the coolant heats up the thermostat begins to open if your coolant is overheating the usual suspects are:
1. Low coolant level.
2. Restricted radiator air flow.
3. Faulty thermostat.
4. Coolant pump or fans inoperative.
5. Vent hose crimped.
6. Air in the coolant and needs bleeding.
7. Engine idling too long or bike moving too slow.
8. Coolant too old needs to be replaced.

if the bolts still connected to the head and wont come out it would be easier to use a tap and di set to make a new thread and then get a bolt to fit

hi backfire comes from that the fuel ignite before the spark.
is there.so ignites double and then the flames come out.
so check the ignition box,if its automatic one, replace it.
if its an old one you got check contackts behind the,
distributionplate.its round plate whit koper wiring on.

Kmx 125 wouldnt start but after having carb sonicaly cleaned, it started so took it out on the fields and had a brilliant day running the bike. got back home put it in the garage and after a few days went...

make sure your float isn't sticking, whats happening is its flooding itself while it sits,, and by you removing the cover and filter its allowing a massive flow of air to blow out the flooding and get the fuel air mix a little better,, see if it will start while holding the throttle wide open,, if so, your float is sticking

Hi my kmx 125 1994 needs new clutch plates.I took the old 1s out and the fell apart in my hands.I just need to no where the small plate goes.is it a neutral gear

Go to the website below and you can see an exploded view of your clutch. I am not sure what small plate you refer to. Unless it has gear teeth on it, it is not a gear. Please rate my answer. Thanks. www.babbittsonline.com

You changed the back pressure in the exhaust and that is what causing your problem either put the washer back in or have the carb properly jetted

Does it have a side stand cut out switch? If it does, make sure the plunger goes all the way in.
