You should adjust your clutch lever. I dont think you are getting complete release. Over time, the cable will stretch. That is why there is a thumb adjuster on the cable. Do not over tighten. Slippage is just about as bad as not releasing completely.

Your owners manual should be able to give you more information on the adjustment. If you dont have one, you can probably get one from the manufacturers web site - which I would give you had you mentioned the make. Still, you can fix this yourself by simply adjusting the cable.

Im having shifting/clutch problems on my bike. when i shift down to stop my bike it will go to neutral and wont go into first gear,i really have to try hard. my clutch leaver becomes so stiff i can barely...

The shifting problem is a bent shift fork. The clutch problem is chatter on the outer, and/or inner, clutch hub and fiber friction plates. The friction plates are catching in grooves worn into the clutch hub by the friction plate tabs. The hub should be smooth. I created a diagram of the shift system and of the clutch to give you an idea of how they work. Please rate my answer. Thanks. tombones49_67.gif

Nsr 125 problem

It may be a safety switch in the clutch lever or bike stand switch being a bit sticky or broken wire in the wiring harness near the steering head that bends alot.

It all depends on the rider. If you feel comfortable with the weight and size. The hardest part of learning is the balance point, and throttle control. If you feel confident, and patient, go for it.

My tail light basically turns on and off as it pleases.

Hi Mate. Just a thought but have you changed the bulb. Sometimes the element breaks but stays roughly in position vibrating with the bike and causing an intermittent fault. If that isnt it then try running a wire from the negetive side to the bike frame. If that stops it flickering at least you will know its an earth fault somewhere. Regards. Johno
