Hi Ken,
There is much to adjust and many things to maintain on a motorcycle. Plugs, oil filters, fork oil, engine oil, air filters, valve lash, chain, brakes, cables...the width of your wallet :) It is the best fun ever though!!

My Honda CBR 954 will not fire up after dropping on the left side; it spent over a month at a certified Honda shop before they gave up on it. We went throw the wire harness, and already changed the ICB,...

Any Honda dealer that spent a month on your bike and had no success is a Honda dealer that I would avoid ever going to a second time. A bike needs gas, air to burn the gas, compression to make use of the burning gas, a timed spark for igniting the gas, and a path for the burned gas to exit the cylinder. Go to a different dealer. Tell them to check the fuel delivery, air intake, compression, spark timing and spark quality, and exhaust system. Fuel delivery and spark are the most likely source of the problem. This ain't rocket science. I think you will find the first Honda dealer's "mechanic" is totally incompetent. Simply hooking up a code reader should point the mechanic in the right direction.

Just bought a 2003 cbr 954. Has a power commander but it will not start. Smells like fuel is to rich. I have heard the bike run. Is it posible I flooded it. It is realy cold out. About 7 outside. The bike...

Kind of hard to flood a Fuel Injection takes a hardware failure. But you do have a Power Commander (Fuel Injection Controller) installed, so it is possible that it is tuned for much warmer weather and not giving you the proper mixture for cold weather. Also possible that the unit has fried.

If your Power Commander is anything like mine, it should have a few buttons on the outside for quick adjustments...just remember where it was set at.

You can also hook the Power Commander up to your computer and load the default "map" for your bike. This is the closest you will get to "stock" settings without uninstalling the unit. If you need the default map, just browse to the Power Commander's website. Make a backup of your current map before changing it.

I just bought a used 2002 honda cbr 954 rr. i cleaned the spark plugs about a month ago and it started up and ran fine. but now i cant get it to run no longer than a few seconds. any ideas what the problem...

Was the bike running fine before you cleaned them? If your bike won't stay running, you might need to adjust your idle. There is a black round dial on the left side next to the stator (big round circular housing) turn it so the fuel is increased.

1999 Honda CBr 900rr will not start just backfires

Has the bike been sitting for an extended period of time (a year or more)? If so, then the carburetors need to be disassembled and cleaned. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you can drain the stale fuel out of the float bowls and - with fresh gasoline in the tank, it may run. If it hasn't been sitting, perform a complete tune up (valve adjustment, replace spark plugs, change oil and filter, etc.).
If that doesn't do the trick, then there's a more serious problem. One, or more, of the required three things for combustion are missing: Fuel, compression, and spark (at the right time). Make sure there's spark - and it is happening at the right time. Check compression. You need to see at least 140 psi on every cylinder in order for it to run.

How to adjust valves

Hi. Use a manual and lots of time. Its a shim-under-bucket arrangement so you need to be in touch with your bikeshop or honda dealer for shims and copper washers and sealing washers if the valves are out of spec and the cams need removing. You will also need a torque wrench, sealant, micrometer, good set of feeler gauges, common sense or a shitload of luck if you dont have those other things. hope this is a bit of help.
