Thank You. But can you tell me what is the solution to this ? Because , mechanic normally tell that there is no solution to engine knocking... can i hide the knock sound by forcefully geting a k&n filter fitted? Or if there is a way to fix dis, do ket me know. Im very sure about the cause: Lack of oil when bike was running.

The problem will be one of the crankshaft bearings...changing the airfilter will not fix anything...

I hear a knocking sound when ever I start my engine

check oil level if low add oil ---if oil milky in color like chocolate milk possible internal damage from --blown head gasket-damaged head --the knock from engine usually means that damage to a piston rod has occurred [rod knock] and knock usually doesnt throw an engine code and usually fatal to engine will need a mechanic to diagnose how bad or what extent the noise is with engine

2003 deville car knocks at idle when u drive engine knocks a lot less almost cant hear it

when was the last time it had the oil / filter changed ? change it and see if it goes away, weak oil will damage the engine and a contaminated oil filter will stop working.

2000 gc lmtd-recently heard something knocking sounded like something loose, checked oil and was completely out...put oil in and right away the knocking went away but soon after the knocking came...

I'm going to tell you what you don't want to hear. Once you run it out of oil or excessively low on oil to the point that it's knocking you likely (99%) have damaged the engine rod and main bearings as well as the oil pump (possibly other internal parts as well).
you could try using a good viscosity improver like lucas additive but generally it won't help with that kind of problem. Best option is a good engine from a scrapyard....expensive, but less than a rebuild.
Wish I could tell you to push a little red button somewhere and it will be fine but in reality, oil is like your blood...Run out of it and the engine is dead.

I have a 1995 Subaru Legacy, and it started making "knocking sounds". Ck the oil, it was OK

If the sound does not go away then the engine has internal problems. Some times if someone over revs the engine it will cause knocks. If the oil is not changed regularly and the engine gets hot due to low water, racing engine then engines dont last long.
If its a deep solid knock its a crank shaft bearing.
If its a lighter knock then some times if you remove the right plug wire and the knock goes away (of course the engine will run rough due to lost cylinder) its that pistons wrist pin bearing.
At any rate your engine will need rebuilt or replaced.Or get a different car.

Engine knockin sound

If it's too bad and has been neglected too long (dont know if it has or not) an oil change may work to cushion the knocking (yeah probably a lifter) but as far as fix it. It could be up to $500-1000 to rebuild the engine unless you want to DIY. Best bet would probably be a used engine if you want it to be fixed fixed. Hope it helps.

I have a 2004 Sonnata 6cyl. This morning I went to start it up and the engine made a loud knocking noise and the engine light came on. Could this be from low oil?

ok did the knocking noise speed up as you pressed the pedal? if so id check the oil first and see if that helps at all and if it continues to make the knockin sound you might have a thrown rod/piston. The oil can effect the the pistons being as it is the lubricant for the pistons to move up and down in the bores(cylinders) but the low oil would only cause the engine to start knocking if there hasnt been any oil added as needed for a long while. has you engine got hot or warmer than usual? the could also be a symptom of low oil.
