SOURCE: location of serial numbers on a yamaha 340 enticer?

There are 2 sets of serial numbers one set on the motor and one on the frame. The ones on the frame are on the "gooseneck", (where the triple clamps to your forks are connected). The other set on that motor are on the center cases on the top of the engine. As I recall they are just above the left side engine cover.

SOURCE: 2003 yamaha wrf 250 carb problem

(1) You will need to adjust the float pin to get the correct amount of fuel in the float chamber of the carburator.
(2) You will also need to set the air-mixture screw , but before you do tht remove the spark plug and see whats the condition of it, is it black , is it brownish, or is it whitish.
If its blackish = means rich too much of fuel, if its browinsh= ok, if its whitish = its too lean.
(3) As for hesitation, check the needle at carbs piston on the accelerator cable, and blow the main jet with high pressure.
(4) Check too the spark plug gap and if its as per the manufacturers specs.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Yamaha 2001 Raptor 660, need to clean my carb

Drain and replace the gas with fresh.
Remove the air cleaner and spray carb cleaner into the inlet. Work your throttle a little then put everything back together and try to start it.

My 1990 Yamaha blaster 200 starts and idles fine

Could be several things, but lately half the problems I run into these days is bad gas. Be sure to use ONLY alcohol free premium gas NO ethanol. Gasoline these days is only good for a couple months at best, so drain out every drop you can, there's even a drain screw on the bottom of the carb. Fill it with good fresh gas, an ounce ot two of "sea foam" or a quality fuel conditioner. With luck it may clear out the problem, if not then I'm afraid your carb will have to come apart and be cleaned, but it's worth a try first.

Hi I am rebuilding a 1979 suzuki enduro I took the carb apart and cleaned it ..It idles great but when i get on the gas it Bogs down and quits any info or parts catalog or manual would be great...I dont...

check the air box and filter for obstructions.

The mixture screw should be fully screwed in gently and then undone about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns.
The idle screw is only in operation during idle, then slide then comes into play and then on fuller throttle settings, the needle and main jet take over.

If rebuilding it is imperative to have a good workshop manual/ some are available online.

How do I clean the carbs on my 1979 Yamaha XS1100?

You need to remove the seat and fuel tank first. Loosen the clamps on the back of all 4 carbs that the air box boots are connected to. Then do the same on the front of all 4 carbs that connect the carbs to the intake boots. Pull the carbs out of the boots and disconnect the choke and throttle cables. Now you got to take the carbs completly apart for a good cleaning and adjustment. If you feel this is to much for you to handle then take it to a good bike repair shop.

1979 yamaha xs400 will only run on full choke as soon as you shut off the choke motor dies just cleaned carbs twice

it is either a float problem with the carbs or a jetting issue. i would check to make sure you have flow thru your carbs .
