SOURCE: kawasaki ke 125 runs for about 2 minutes stalls

Go to the dealer and ask for the stock plug for your bike. Check for spark on the new plug then install the plug.

Remove the carb , dissemble it and clean the varnish out. Remove the petcock, ( gas valve ),water trap and clean it out. Next let one cup of gas flow into a container. Any water or rust in the bottom of the container? If any rust was in the water trap or the container then purchase an inline fuel filter to eliminate the rust getting into the carb.

If cleaning the carb yourself does not do the trick then take it to the dealer and have them clean it and install a car kit. This should eliminate the carb as a problem. Get a new air filter and install it.

Now you have spark, gas and air. If it still will not start it is likely that you need new crank seals. On a bike that old you may well need new crank bearings as well.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

SOURCE: Points gap for Kawasaki KE 125

Point gap will be .14. Make sure after you set the points at .14 you attempt to insert a .16 feeler gauge. It should not go between the points without moving them. Also, a .12 feeler gauge should slip in without any force.

SOURCE: 1974 Kawasaki KE 125 want spark, but has spark

you can trace if a coil is bad by using multi tester and check the voltage coming from it.,the volts shall be not less than six ( 6)Volts.But the problem if you dont have a multi tester?Ok,kick the starter of the motorcycle and at the same time slightly ground the wire from the coil into the cranckcase..,and if you can notice that the spark will produce a burning sound with a blue fire ,then your coil is still good.
By the way,i think your problem is not in the coil itself but either of the following:
1. The ignition coil is bad.
2. The condenser have a leak or shorted.
3. the contact point.Maybe it needs to replace or just needing a good adjustment of the "timing".
4. Or,just simply change the sparkplug.

My Kawasaki twin engine model FD 590 on my lawn tractor sputters, looses power and shuts down after about 15 min of running. Will star after it cool down. Cause please??

Immediately check for spark after it dies. A failing ignition module will quit after it gets hot (about 10 minutes) then work again after it cools. Other causes could be a blocked tank vent; try to run till it starts to act up and loosen the fuel cap. See if it starts to run right again or if it does die it starts right back up. A sticking shut-off solenoid, sticking float needle or partially clogged fuel filter can also cause these symptoms. They let some fuel in but not enough and eventually the motor starves for fuel. then slowly the fuel fills back into the bowl and it will run again for awhile till it runs out of gas again.

05 taurus spits and sputters on startup when cold

This can be caused by a problem in the fuel pressure check valve of the fuel pump. Have a pressure leak down test run by a shop, if the system is losing pressure then the pump assembly must be replaced. The fuel pump is located inside the gas tank and is electric

I have a 1996goos Harley Sportster 1200at an after i ride for 15-20a minutes it starts spitting an popping before eventually dying? Any ideas of what could be wrong?

Check the cam sensor under the round cover on the right side of the motor. After a while, the heat cycles it goes through weakens the epoxy, which lets the wires become disconnected. Usually the bike will run again after it cools off, it this is the problem.

I have a 1980 ke 125 It will be running fine one minute and then it will start to spit and sputter sometimes backfiring it loses power and sometimes dies other times it will come out of it and run fine but...

Check that the connection of the wires in the block connector (near the fuel tap) from the generator to the main loom is good. When checking the the ignition timing an ohm meter is connected to the black wire at this connector, sometimes causing the wire to 'pop' out of it's location and causing intermittent/complete ignition failure.

Could be that you have blown the piston rings, firstly i would remove the rear silencer, as 2 strokes bellow out exsess smoke and loose power when the silencer becomes blocked due to carbon, start and run the bike and check without the silencer, furthermore to eliminate the exhaust itself is blocked, undo it from the cylinde

2 year old craftsman 42" deck tractor runs fine for 15 minutes then sputters and dies. Will start, run 2-3 minutes, die again. Leave sit will run for 20 minutes.

if it restarts immediately, check the vent in the gas cap for restriction. also, the solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor may be sticking or getting weak. if you have to let it sit for awhile before it retarts, the ignition module may be breaking down when it heats up. i'd bet on the gas cap or solenoid though
