the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: where is the oil filter on my yamaha V-star 1100

On the right side of the bike (right side when ou are sitting on it) just above the rear brake lever behind a small circular plate. remove the plate and the oil filter is inside (you will easily see it). Warning---on these bikes you have to drop the front exhaust header and right floor board in order to change the oil filter unless you install a after market oil filter relocation kit. If you plan on changing your own oil it is highly recommended to install this relocation kit.

Sounds like jetting is to rich, recheck settings and fuel height settings, need to get the fuel mixture correct as that bike will develop other running issues due to carbon build up in the rear cylinder. check out www.roadstarclinic.com as this is a good source for information on this bike

SOURCE: Hi I have A 2006 yamaha midnight star 1700 with

When carburetors sit dry, the jets and the needles that go through them oxidize. The oxide makes the surface grow, making the needles have a larger diameter, and the jets a smaller hole.

Replacing the jets and the main metering needles usually restores the performance.

My 2006 yamah road star 1700 keeps flooding out and filling the cylinders with fuel.

Either some gunk is causing the float valve not to seal with it's seat, or the float is set waaay too high.
