Question about 2008 Honda XR 125 L
My bike (honda xr 125) recently got stolen i got the bike back but the electric start doesn't work any more the only way i can get the bike runnin is to bump it off. i thought it was the battery at first but ive put a new 1 on fully charged and it still isnt working.
You probably have a bad switch
First look to se if there are any fuses
also see if horn works
FIX for determining if starter works
to find out take jumper cables and put the red cable on the plus side of the battery and the black on the minus side of battery(ground)
Put the black lead(ground ) on the frame of the bike near starter and touch the red to the starter lead( you may have to peel back rubber boot over starter nut
when you touch the starter nut it will spark and should spin over
if it does then you need to remove the screw assembly that holds the starter button and remove and clean it out with electronic cleaner (you may have to replace it if so go to honda shop and order new one
