I have a Chevy Venture 99, I noticed yesterday that when I put the light switch selector on low beams position I get high beams working, the high beams are always working no matter what position I put the light switch selector on. I replaced the battery like one month ago so I don't think there is any problem with it. I'm not sure how to fix the issue or what I need to check next.

look under your hood for the fuse/relay box will be on left side behind battery. the relay and fuses will be in there check fuses also

There are no relays for the headlights. Your problem could be from the headlight switch. You would have to check and see if you have power coming out of the switch on the low beam side. Check with a test light.

could be the switch. did you do anything to the switch when you changedheadlamps? maybe you put the lamp in incorrectly also did the brights work on the lamp that was "burned out"?

Check for headlight relay and fuse. Some cars have separate circuits for head light flasher and normal high/low beam. From your description, I would suspect a bad connection to/from relay or relay itself.

sounds like the problem is the dimmer switch, get a price on the dimmer switch. If you have to, get one at a junk yard . It's cheaper.
