Its the 40 amp circuit breaker under the seat. in 04 they went to a maxi fuse. so replace the circuit breaker style w/ a maxi fuse set-up from painless wiring and that solves the problem permanently

These have a recall for this. Has it been performed?

Under what conditions were you operating when this occurred?

This has to be a blown fuse. If it happened slowley you lost your altenator or battery connection.

Instrument Dashboard went dead but bike continued to run.

I would never think a bike was smart enough to shut down unneeded accessories like that but then again I haven't been around many newer ones much. I would just charge it ride it and see if it happens again. if you get done riding and the battery reads low again that should answer your question

check battery connections (guessing you have) you might have a bad connection at the ignition switch either at the plug or inside of the switch itself. to look at the plug you need to take off the fairring and take out the radio

As i'm riding the engine will shut off sometimes and I have to restart at the start button. Any Ideas?

I also have a 2003 Ultra that would shut down for no reason while I was driving, started happening 3 months after I had the bike, very dangeous, happened in a curve once, took it to the dealer and they were having problems a module for the ignition I thought. They replaced it twice, then told me that because I had a trailer wiring harness hooked up that was causing interferance, they took that off and havent had the problem since. Didnt use the trailer hitch much anyways, but dont know at this point if it was the module or the harness. Hope this helps.

When I apply my 4 way flashers on my '03 Ultra Classic, the engine shuts down. My new horn shut down also. The individual turn signals work fine, but applied simultaneously for my 4 ways shuts the bike...

I believe the simultanous pressing of both the right and left turn signal buttons is also used to set the or disable the security system. You may have a "conflict" that is so common with computerized stuff.

Good Luck

Engine stalls

First I would check the charging system with a voltmeter. If its not in the charging system, and u dont have a scanalyzer try a voltage drop test to check your wiring between your battery and solenoid. I am assuming you've checked your battery cables
