Suzuki dr350 electric problems

Just another quick question for you as your answer to my previous question was ace! i also have a suzuki dr350 se (2000 model) and recently tried to jump start the bike, to which the electrics completely stopped working, like when u put the key in none of the lights come on. tried changing the battery for a new one but to no joy, could the bike be short circuited and will it be the fuse that has blown to stop the rest of the elctric parts from not working or is it something much worse?? would be really greatfull for your reply.

cheers dan

Have you checked the main fuse at the start relay? Did you jump the battery with the correct polarity on the leads?

I had the same problem. It was a blown fuse located right in front of the battery.

DR 350. Where can I get a diagram of timing marks?

Hi, Stephen for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Suzuki dr350 intermittent fault with all the electric

ok sounds like a battery/electrical fault. firstly check all connections to battery. does the battery go flat, have you a volt meter to check the battery voltage. if thats fine we'll move on to the alternator output / rectifier, let me know

'95 dr350 with milky looking oil in the frame where oil is added! air cooled so it can't be a head gasket. what gives?

The oil has been worked too hard.
Replace oil immediately otherwise your engine will fail.
Also replace filter.
Use a quality oil and make sure you check it regularly.

I just bought a dr350 used and the kick stand is broken I noticed that it has a sensor what does it do?

it is a switch that wont let you ride away with the side stand down. The bike will probably start in neutral, but when you put it in gear, or go to let out the clutch, the switch will turn off the engine, unless the stand it up pushing the switch closed

2000 drz400ei took the carbi out and now the throtle seems to

You probably put the carb slide in wrong. There is a groove that runs the entire length of the slide. That groove must line up with a pin that is inside the throat of the carb. Feel the inside of the carb with your finger and you will feel the pin.

Top rating due on this answer! Thanks :)
