Check if you got current on your buttons wires it could be the button it self that is faulty

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

SOURCE: Kinroad 125 XT-18 motorbike battery doesn't hold charge

i would check all your fuses, and then replace your regulator/rectifier unit (r/r), then recharge your battery and go for a run see if that fixes the problem (your battery will need to be charged first tho or it will not give an accurate result)

SOURCE: ZZR250 won't start. fuel tank full. well charged battery.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initial check is to remove the spark plug after giving it a try to start:

  • if the plugs are wet with fuel, then the carbs are OK, if not then it would most likely be a fuel delivery issue to the combustion chamber;
  • connect the sparkplugs back to their wires and lay it against any metal part;
  • crank the engine;
  • note if there would be spark;
  • no spark, then an electrical issue;
  • good spark, then back to fuel issue.
Postback results of above initial tests.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Vuka cr125 electric start not working

Hi, Robbie before testing any electrical component in the Starting System it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead acid batteries.
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
4. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
5. FOB battery low or dead.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand, clutch, neutral safety switch.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter relay, solenoid, starter motor or circuit wiring faulty.
11. Starter armature or field coils have failed.
12. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
13. Faulty ignition relay.
14. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
15. Check for engine trouble codes.

Engine wont turn over at start

Hi, Do you have an alarm & Immobiliser fitted on your bike as these drain the battery on your bike very quickly? If so i would recommend removing your battery and fully charging it with a decent amp-age charger. If you have your garage attached to your house then i would definitely recommend purchasing a trickle charger and when not using your bike keep this plugged into the mains and you should not have this problem again. all motorbike shops sell these chargers If after this the battery goes flat again i would suggest purchasing a new battery. This is a common fault as most motorbikes sit in the garage through the winter months and if not kept on charge will deteriorate. Hope this helps.

Yamaha 600vmax snowmobile engine

Hi there!

The battery will run down, because there is no means of charging it.

Is an alternator fitted at the moment for lights etc? If so, you will need to measure the voltage from that, then connect to the battery to charge it.

If there isn't one, look for a motorbike alternator that will fit, or contact the manufacturers for a genuine part.
