SOURCE: backfires

Hi ......... sounds like the petrol is igniting in the pipe, could be valve needs reground (carryout a compression check), leak in the exhaust system (all gaskets & joints good ?). What colour is the spark plug ? Have you recently put a new pipe, filter or re jetted the bike ?

My 2007 C90t which is the same motor as yours requires 4 1/2 quarts of 10/40wt.
Stick with Suzuki brand oil btw. When I changed to Amsoil, I developed a problem.

SOURCE: charging system failure suzuki c90 2005

My Clymer manual has good diagrams.
The 30 amp fuse that protects the charging system on my '07 C90T is located behind the left upper cover. Yours is the same.
You have to remove the steering head cover and the chrome speedometer section to get to it.
Yep. blow the fuse on a trip and you better have tools so you can get to it.

06 SUZUKI C90 BOULVARD TURN SWITCH ON GET NOTHING .BATTERY & FUSES GOOD UNLESS THERES A MAIN FUSE LOCATED SOME WHERE ELSE

Hi, Bubba and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a "LOAD" test, your battery may show 12.5 volts but has little or zero amps and must be replaced.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter.
5. Bank angle sensor needs a reset or is faulty.
6. FOB battery low or dead.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Faulty starter button.
9. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
10. Security alarm needs a reset.
11. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
12. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
13. The electric starter is working but starter clutch has failed.
14. Check for engine trouble codes.

No charge happening on my 2007 boulevard c90 seems to be a chronic problem on these bikes looking at a stator rectifier online and is the stator actually on the kick stand side under the second large...

the stator is behind the front cover on KS side, must drain oil and will need new gasket, normally when it burns out it takes the rectifier/regulator with it!!

Recommend Ricks Stators on line this is a better replace ment than OEM, mine has lasted 2 1/2 years so far (this was third replacement) Also recommend relocating the regulator to the bottom front of the battery box (requires fab a plate and extending wires and solder connections) this allows it to get more air and stay cooler I also added additional grounds
