Question about 2001 Honda CBR 929 RR Fireblade

1 Answer

I have a 2001 Honda 929. When i rev it up i after i get off the gas it makes a skreching nose. I went to honda and they told me to take my intake cover off and clean the value off. The part that has four sides to it and holds all around it. Sorry don't know the name of the part. But after putting it all back together. My f1 and my red light stays on. I want to know do i need to reset anything because i took those pieces apart. Or what else could it be?

How much fork oil do I use on my 2001 honda cbr 929 rr

Should not be more than 300cc (between 275-350cc) depending how hard you want it. Use grade 10 or 15 from Castrol for normal bounce.

Good enough for thumbs up?

2001 Honda 929 not starting

sounds like it could have a blown solinoid fuse check fuses, sometimes the solinoil fuse is located on the solinoid itself.Could be A shot sidestand switch or clutch cut out switch.to check solinoid & starter motor.Place a jumper lead on Batt. posative, other end to solinoid if it tries to start check previously mentioned switches. If still nothing, conect to other side of solinoid,if motor sounds solinoid is the problem
Hope this helps Regards Andrew Porrelli

Fireblade 929 on a y plate .. speedo and rev counter just stopped working any idea

Sounds like a wiring/connector problem. Could be the common earth connection that has corroded. Check all wires that go to BOTH the rev counter and the speedo, since both went out at the same time.

Cbr 929 gas smell from muffler

Sounds like the floats in the carburetor are not shutting the needle valve, allowing excess fuel to be blowing out the cylinders, and blowing out into the muffler.

Check carb float and needle valve, Could possibly need a rebuild, Most floats today are a solid float and cannot allow gasoline to soak into the float, if it is by chance made of brass, could be filling up with gasoline and causing the float to stay low, not closing the needle valve.
