I have a 2006 Honda CB599 that won't start and a red light is on the dash. What is this?

Is there a symbol next to the red light? Generally the red light on Honda's is an oil light, but if there is no symbol next to it, it could be anything.

The red light on the tachometer that has the oil symbol, the water symbol, and a f1 is staying on. can anyone tell me what my problem might be? oil level is good, and so is water

Im not sure what the codes are but I can tell you this, my friend, if you dont get it looked at, your motorcycle will suffer as a result. The lights are there for something. Get the Suzuki guy to tell you what they mean and/or fix them before you do mych more riding ... If you expect to continue riding, that is.

Please have a pro look at it.

My Displays F1 and the red light stays on?

"FI" stands for Fuel Injection. The sensors have detected a problem and the computer is sending a warning. You will need to take the bike to a dealer so they can read the codes to determine the problem.

The red light is on, and where the temp shows, it flashes "F1" or "FI". What does this mean?

hey mate, i had the same trouble with my bike came up red light with FI it ended up being the charging circuit and i had to replace the regulator/rectifier to fix it...
Im guessing the FI stands for fuel injection and there is not enough charge for it to run the fuel injection system...

could be the same problem with your bike, easiest way to check is to run a multi meter that is set to volts dc over the + & - on the battery and see what its got then start the bike and it should go fluctuate between 13.0v and 13.5v...

If it just stays on 12v and drops slowly it is not charging the battery!

Regards
Brad:)

F1 displayed

The FI light is letting you know there is a problem with the Fuel Injection system on the bike. You will most likely need to take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it with their computer. You can check your fuses and make sure they are intact, but most likely dealership problem.

F1 light

it's not an F1 light it's an FI light for fuel injection. is it a full exhaust installed on the bike or just a slip on? may need a power commander to balance it all out.
