Question about 2005 Qianjiang QJ100-2
Hi there, just wondered if anybody can help.I have problem with freezing throttle. The other night after work the throttle wouldn't even move, it did after a while but couldn't do more then 20mph and wasn't able to control it properly. Also when I stop on traffic lights it shuts down so have to twist the trottle a bit to keep it going. Thank you Veronika
The throttle cable will need to be lubed. It is binding up, and should be sorted out quickly. It will break soon and leave you stranded on the side of the road. It could also jam in the open position. This is not good at all. Replacing the cable will be a solution also, or call into a motorcycle shop and get some lubricant spray down the length of it. They will probably sort this out for you then and there, even not charge you if you suggest to them that you will get them to do your next service. If the cable is stuffed, they could even replace it for you at the same time. Takes about 5 mins to do. Hope this helps you to solve your problem. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck
