The transmission oil and the engine oil are the same. Use only a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. Automotive oil uses different additives and will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. 10w-40 oil is good for cold climate. 20w-50 for hot climate/touring. Synthetic oil will make your cycle run cooler and shift easier. Your final drive uses 80/90 hypoid gear oil. Synthetic hypoid oil will reduce friction and make your final drive run cooler. You will probably need four quarts of oil . Pour in three quarts and check the oil level. Top up as needed. If changing the oil filter you will have to run the motor to get an accurate oil level reading

Check your gas tank for rust, if it is rusty have it cleaned out with acid wash and gel coat the insides, follow the direction on the package, check your battery for voltage, pull you spark plugs out and give each cylinder a couple shots of oil in each cylinder to get some oil back into your cylinders, It will smoke some so please do it outside and not in a garage, when you get it running put a volt meter on your battery and see of it is charging,should see 14+ volts on a good rev, if not you may need to install a electronic regulator/charger made just for you model of bike, Mikes XS sell great parts for yamaha, everything you would ever need, brake kits, petcocks, electrical items etc.... SOURCE: the bolts holding the oil
You will need a good solid punch or a straight piece of metal, solid and long enough to hit with a good sized hammer. It will have to be small enough to just hit the head of the bolt. Put the punch on the bolt and smack it hard. That should jar it enough to come loose easier. Try this....
