SOURCE: vacuum line schematic 1987 toyota corolla le front wheel drive

It is similar to my rear wheel drive two door.

The main vacuum line from a vacuum source on the intake goes to the multi-hose valve on the top and the distributor vacuum advance. This multi-valve switching valve is the main connection to the other vacuum hoses on mine. Two lines come in from a vacuum source and thre go out to three components according to tempature. On mine the middle one off to side 1)goes to choke opener and switching vacumm valves mounted on the fenders the other middle one 2)second from top goes to another choke opener and EGR Valve and EGRModulator. The bottom hose connection is on when cold 3)and goes to a part on the carburator to help it run better when warming up a AAP valve.

There is a check valve diaprham thing inline to the EGR vlave on the second line from top.

I have another vacuum line on the drivers side of the carburator that has a check vlave inline but larger it goes to the throttle linkage to help slow the closing of the trottle on rapid deceleration.126c338.jpg14b3a33.jpgf95de67.jpg9f023f4.jpga890bd7.jpg5531e92.jpg

SOURCE: 1990 toyota camry

Well if it is a 4 cylinder the timing marks would be small hole in camshaft lined up with little dot on head at 12 o'clock position and the crank with the pulley on should line up with 0 on the timing indicator. If it is a 6 cyl then the marks would be- camshafts both with dots up and lined up with indicaters on heads and crank timing mark on 0 with the harmonic balancer installed. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Need to find Mass Air Flow sensor on 98 Camry

You are not stupd! :-) This car has a speed-density system. The computer is programmed to meter fuel and spark timing from manifold absolute pressure (MAP), engine temperature, air temperature, and throttle position only.

Are you having a problem?

My 94 Toyota Camry LE is running really rough and stalling.

The previous owner has screwed things up by changing the air intake and eliminating the air temp sensor. The car's computer depends on a series of sensors to determine what fuel mixture it should command, and now it can't do that properly.

When the car is cold, it knows from the coolant temp, and it sends plenty of fuel, but when hot it is getting the mixture wrong.

Restore the air intake to original, with the correct sensors, as it should run OK.

If not, then go looking for a vacuum leak or an air leak in the air intake hose and plenum somewhere.

How to connect vacuum hose from/to air filter - Camry 2003

Usually you wouldn't connect a vacuum hose to the air filter, but if its a DIY job your after you would need to get the male connectors and some other hardware to do a custom job (drilling required) otherwise to have the same effect you could just connect a vacuum hose to the Intake Manifold or throttle body.

The Intake manifold usually has some spare slots for small vacuum hoses.

To locate follow the air filter box tube back to the throttle body, the throttle body, the intake is directly off this and connects to the engine. see diagram

How do I replace a knock sensor for a 1992 toyota camry v6 le

First, I would like to mention that most knock sensor codes are not caused by the knock sensors, but a mechanical problem with the engine. The knock sensors cannot differentiate between noises caused by mechanical problems like a bad pulley bearing, bad motor mount, noisy alternator bearings, etc. and spark knock. knock sensor codes are set when the computer has retarded the timing as far as possible to compensate for ignition ping (Spark Knock) and the noise still exists.

With that said, here are the instructions.

Remove the Intake Chamber assembly.
Disconnect Injector connectors.
Disconnect the heater hose from the Intake Manifold.
Remove the 9 bolts. 2 nuts, 2 plate washers and Intake Manifold assembly.
Remove right hand engine mounting stay and water outlet.
Disconnect the following hoses and connectors:
Radiator inlet hose.
Engine coolant reservoir hose.
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor connector.
Engine Coolant Temperature Switch connector.
Ground strap connector.

Remove the 3 bolts and right hand mounting stay.
Remove the wire band.
Disconnect the water bypass hose from the inlet housing.
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 plate washers and water outlet.
Remove the 2 gaskets.
Disconnect the Knock Sensor connectors.
Remove the Knock Sensors.

1993 Toyota Camry IAC cleaning

1) remove the black intake hose from the throttle body
2) get a can of throttle body/intake cleaner
3) be VERY careful if you decide to use the straw included with the can of cleaner, it can detach and go inside of your intake manifold.
4) spray inside and use a rag to remove junk from throttle plate(front and back side), hold the straw on the cleaner can and spray into the hole just ahead of the throttle plate, let soak for 10 minutes or so
5) reattach intake hose and start engine - you may get black smoke/rough idle for a minute as junk exits the engine

1995 Toyota camry Le 4C Missing Problem -

i have came across simler problems in the past so im going to give you a list of four main suspects number 1; a broken or pereshed vacuum hose at the trottle body or inlet manifold.2 a blocked injector 3 a fuel injection system fault 4 a disconnected /leaking or perished crankcase ventilation hose. Before you try any of these by a can of fuel cleaner and run it through your system remember a small piece of dirt half the size of grain of salt is enough to cause this problem good luck.adrian
