You should have #110 and #40 jets. The #110 jets go in the middle where the pipe is sticking up the highest and the #40 should go directly behind that one. Male sure you screw the jets all the way down until snug but dont over tighten them. Hope this helps

Hi unless some one changed the main jets they should all be #110 mains, the diaframs and needles if stock are all the same.

Mileage problem

Hi Patrick, you can start by going to smaller main jets untill you notice poor performance then go up one size, and the usual suspects are:
1. Excessive use of enrichner system.
2. Enrichner valve not seated or leaking
3. Dirty air cleaner element.
4. Restricted fuel tank vent system.
5. High speed riding style.
6. Idle speed improperly adjusted.
7. Loose jets.
8. Float level too high.
9. Plugged or restricted bowl vent.
10. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
11. Vacuum piston assembly malfunction.
12. Plugged air jets or passages.
13. Excessive accelerator pump output.
Good luck and have nice day.

Where is the engine number located?

There is an emissions sticke under the hood that will tell you the engine size, if thats what your looking for. If thats missing then the eighth digit in the VIN # is the code for the engine. A parts store or dealer can tell you what size it is. If your looking for the engine serial # it's cast on the side of the block. Good luck on trying to read that number unless the engine is out of the car.

I have 175 and 180 size jets in my carburetor on my 04 Sabre. Are these stock? My Dynojet stage 1 kit has 160, 165, 170, & 175...which are smaller...

It doesnt matter if the jets are stock or not it is a myth that the jets must be bigger when you put a stage one kit in. Remember stock jets are there for EPA standards and what size works to pass is what the manufactor will use. I have many times put smaller jets in a carb even on race bikes to get a better performance. I hope this helps.

WAS GIVEN A 1991 TAURUS WHAT TYPE OF BATTERY SHOULD I BUY?

I cant tell you off hand, but if you need a new battery, the auto parts store will be able to give you this info. Any cars battery will start the vehical, what makes battery different from one another is required cold cranking amps, and size. Your car does not need high cranking amps, depending on how cold it is were you live. Its usually size thats impotant. If you put a battery in your car that is to big, and the mounts for it cant hold it right, well, you'll wind up with a battery in your fan. Hope this helps. John...

Having motorbike trouble

have a VR 2000 Supermot and when I bought it the guy had taken off the air filter and box and put a racing exhaust on it. I dont know what other modifications he could have done. Anyway we put the original exhaust back on and just fitted an airbox with K&N air filter and it starts and ticks over fine and runs fine up to about 3 thousand revs and then it kangaroos (stop and start) and it stalled at one point. I checked and there is fuel in the tank. The fuel feed must be ok coz it ticks over and revs fine when stationary. I have a theory that the guy who modified it has put big jets on the carbs to give better air/fuel mixture. Would this explain whats happening? How can I fix it? Thanks for your time. i've been repairing dirtbikes and fourhwheelers since i was 12 with my dad, it sounds like a problem with the jets in the carburetor possibly one clogged with even the smallest piece of dirt will cause this, also how old is the bike, this sounds alot like a problem i had with an old dirtbike, sitting stationary the bike would run like new, yet get on it and put the engine under a load it would start sputterin and runnin like complete garbage, the bike was an 87 bw200 and after messin with the carb i ended up buyin a new one cause it was internally clogged but if its a newer bike i'd definently check the jets, and if you cant figure it out, then a local bike shop could probably diagnose the problem, if you have friends with bikes get suggestions from them on a good local place,,,
