Check the stator and voltage regulator One or both of them isn't working. Or if you're lucky, the regulator came unplugged from stator. The connecion is on the left front of the primary cover. Just follow the wires from the regulator and you will see it. Good luck!

I agree with Brett Drew, but I would like to add my thoughts.

Having had battery problems with my Suzuki SV650 K5: - 1st (original) battery lasted 5 years, 2nd 2 years, 3rd 20 months I can appreciate your problem completely.
Here goes:-
1. Why did you replace the previous battery.
2. When you removed the old battery which lead did you remove first.
3. Did you fill and fully charge the new one before fitting.
4. What did you charge it with.
5. Which lead did you connect first when fitting the new battery.

I know this might sound a bit odd but the 5 questions above are critical to battery life.

1. If the old one stopped working suddenly, up until the time it died did the bike work OK. If all was OK it is unlikely you have a major electrical problem. Have you checked all the fuses and connections.
2. When you remove a battery always undo the negative lead first.
3. When you get a new battery it must be charged, after filling, for as long as possible.
4. You must never use a car battery charger or one that has an max output of more than 1 Amp. Always use a dedicated low output motorcycle charger. Smart chargers are worth looking into.
5. When you fit a battery connect the positive lead first.

I hope this and Brett's answer will help Good luck.

My can wont charge my battery and it wont rev about 2500 rpm in any gear. i have replaced cam sensor and crack sensor and put new timing belt and tensioner on?

My car won't charge my battery ? Check the alternator (charging system) . You put new cam & crank sensor an timing belt on for a charging system problem ? Or after you did this stuff ,now the charging system isn't charging the battery ?

How to charge new battery

One you have replaced the batteries, place the unit in its charging stand and it will inform you approx. how long until the charge is complete. If not, there will be a charging status bar at the top right hand corner. I would typically leave it on the stand for 12 hours minimum. Also, do not put it back on the stand until it tells you that charging is required. Putting a device on charge before required develops a "battery memory", meaning the battery may be half full, but read as empty requiring a full charge.

1998 mercury grand battery not charging put new alternator and battery still not working

Is the battery light on the dash board working? If the light does not work the alternator will not charge, it needs the power from the light to energise the rotor.

Battery

Might be the camera's battery terminals, not the battery itself. Take a qtip and some isopropyl aclohol and clean the terminals in the battery well of camera.

I put in a new battery and now the radio beeps when it is keyed up. I put the old battery back in and it works fine. Both batteries fully charged. Any suggestions?

A beep when keyed up can mean a low battery.
1) It is possible your new battery did not take its initial charge, it can take as many as 3 chargings to 'jump start' a new battery. You might try charging the battery an addition 2 full charge cycles.
2) Try the new battery in another SP50 radio to see if it works, or test with a volt meter, if available.
3) Double check the battery is the correct HNN9018 or equivalent NiCd battery. If you are using an after-market battery, check to see if it is a NiCd. If it is a NiMH battery you will need a fast rate charger to charge it up. (On an SP50 the fast rate charger has a blue button on the tray which needs pressed to put it in fast charge mode)
4) This may sound silly, but check to see you installed the battery the correct way. On a Motorola battery the STOP sign would not be visible when installed correctly.
5) If all these items do not solve the 'new battery' problem, you should return the battery to the place of purchase for an exchange.

Best regards.

Phone will not charge it has a new battery and charger

Hello,

Try put the battery on a similar phone and charge with your new charger, if it charges, it means your new battery and charger are good.

The problem with the phone is the charging port, you will need to replace the charging port because it does not charge your phone battery anylonger.

Take care.

My N96 battery died,So I put it on charge and nothing happened. I then replaced the battery with a new one and charged that up enough to turn the phone on. I then put it on charge again so i could give it...

It appears that the phone is not charging the battery. you may need a new charging connector or mainboard repair. You can get a free repair diagnosis and estimate from www.fixphonenow.com cell phone repair services.
