The blend door actuator is located in the left rear quater panel. It's right there when you remove the trim panel (left side rear) Below is a picture of it when panel is removed along with another picture of the air duct system. I also gave you a picture of the connector at the actuator. Make sure you are geting power and test opening and closing. Worst case you could make the blend door stay to where you are geting heat until you can repair the problem...
is it a carboretor or is it fuel injection if a carboretor probably a sticking flote easy to do just remove it and clean if its fuel injection get the fuel pump checked or injectors
Possible timing chain stretched putting engine timing slightly out causing fuel not to burn properly . And the noise could be the chain slapping about .
You bang on the fuel tank with a broom stick or a 2x4 and some one cranks the engine, if the car starts that means you need a fuel pump if it dosent then you need a cam sensor.
i wrapped it in a blanket and then waiter 20 mins when it got realy hot i took it out and then turned it off then on and it works like new i saw it on youtube
