Question about Motorcycles
Had the carbs rebult twice.
Something got missed in low speed circuit or incorrect pilot crew seetings, also check for intake leaks rubber carb joints.
its very critical to make sure the low speed circuit and jets are clean thoroughly.

You did not say whether or not this was a carburater engine but from the sound of it one of your jets may be sticking, a good cleaning of the jets will most likely fix the problem, the likely cause is a small build up or piece of debris on the jet.

First I would change all the spark plugs, and if that didn't make a difference then it sounds like the coil(s) are warming up and breaking down........when it starts to skip take a good pair of pliers with good rubber on them and pull each spark plug wire, when you get to the one that the running doesn't change then I would replace that particular coil
