Any other suggestions that could be the cause. The brakes are fine. We hose them out and it seems to work a little but still squealing.
Rusty disc rotors can sometimes cause this issue, dirt as well, but often times it can be caused by riding your brakes, the braking friction material becomes hard if heated enough, resulting in a high pitched squeek or squeal as you pull up, this doesn't effect the normal operation of the brakes, and in the cases of "high performance" brake replacements that use harsher friction materials, is part of normal operation.

They dont have a dip stick but do have a bolt that is removed Diff/transfer case and gearbox the bolt you take out is at the height/level that the fluid should be at and its where you fill the diff/gearbox.Its in the side of the gearbox about half way up.

Check your discs and brake pads. You could have your pads worn down that far that you are getting metal to metal contact when you apply the brakes. If that is the case, replace the discs and pads.

Does it have to do with the AC. I had a similar problem with my vitara and they said a washer was prob loose in the ac system which would cause the water to leak to the footwell. Mine was only the passenger side.
