If the Master Cylinder BORE size is the same as the bore size required for the caliper you want to replace it with, then YES, you can use your existing Master Cylinder.

this is a common problem that is 90% the same soultion for all bikes, just simply change the cables for them, this is usualy what goes wrong. this is cheap and easy to do yourself.

Mine came off on 93 w/ just a little pulling .. But harleytalking.com has helped me many times when I was stumped .. Id ask there ... ride safe..

Why is my battery burning up in my 1993 fxr

Most likely cause would be a faulty voltage regulator. You need to get it on a battery/charge testing machine,bring the revs up to 2000 rpm,and with a fully charged battery,it should not charge any higher than 14.0 volts at 2000 rpm.

1991 harley FXR won't start; replaced bad starter. it still won't start

- If the starter is turning the motor , I dont understand why u replaced the relay and the ignition....but - thats water under the bridge now .... Open the primary and check the jack shaft... put a pliers on it - pull it out and turn it 1/4 turn a few times - make sure its not binding. Take a look at the bushing on the outer primary.... may need to bevel the edges a little. Make sure the battery is charged enough to give the engine a few strong turns. Let me know what you find
