Question about 2005 Honda V-Twin Magna

2005 honda magna won't start

My Fathers bike won't start. He seems to think it is from a car bumping him at a red light. It is doing the same thing it did when he laid it down, seems to think it may be the bendix gear, any info would be great.

Got it figured out, sorry about the lack of info on it. Funny enough, it was just the clutch cable. haha. Had a buddy ride over and check it out and started jiggling wires first off and that wire just fell off. So problem solved. Thanks for the info.

With only the information you gave, I would say it is not the bendix gear.  Does the engine crank?  Does the engine try to start? Just taking a guess here since you didn't give a lot of information.  Some bikes have a "tilt switch".  It is designed to turn the bike off when laid down.  I would guess that switch is bad.  Please give more information if this doesn't help.

Attempted to start the bike, there was one click from the battery area. Then everything went dead. No lights anywhere. I checked the battery. It is fully charged. Is there a fuse that could cause this?

If I'm not mistaken, I think the fuses are under the seat on these bikes... Not 100% sure but, on the older Shadows and Magnas and those type of bikes, the fuse panel slides into the side of a plastic cover. This would be right on top of the rear fender, under the seat if this the type of bike I'm thinking of. Good Luck!

I have a 1998 honda magna motorcycle its gettn fire and gas but won't start

First thing you want to do is check your spark plug gap. Improperly gapped plugs can cause a non-start. If all is good there, check the compression. The fuel-air mixture needs proper compression to ignite.

I have a 82 honda Magna and it won't start. I put the key in the ignition and there are no lights, nothing at all. I've put a new battery in thinking that was the problem but that didn't fix it. I've...

Check the ignition switch with a volt ohmmeter. It sounds like the power is not getting past the switch. If a new switch is needed, try the following sources.

2003 honda accord steering collum

No, I don't think they started lighting them in the Accord until around 2005. I had a 2004 and always had to feel around for them in the dark. If I remember correctly, they had some ridges or bumps on them to help identify them by feel.
