I've been troubleshooting and haven't had any luck. It seems like the motorcycle isn't getting any fuel. I've checked the hoses and carburator and no luck

You need to use a small propane torch to heat up the rocker cover. It just needs to be hot enough to boil a drop of water or wet your finger with spit and touch it, if it sizzles you can take a pair of pliars and it will almost fall out.
Let me know if you have any other questions or problems,

Suski bandit leaking oil around the plugs

sounds like the plug tunnel seals are leaking or badly fitted...these are the seals found inside the rocker cover (top cover) of the engine that stop top end oil from leaking into the spark plug tunnels.

Hi i have a 1997 dyna wide glide leaking oil. I was told it is a rocker cover gasket on the back cylinder . Ive had it for over 2 years and done nothing to it except regular oil changes.I was wondering...

There is no such thing as self adjusting rods whatever you might be referring to. Cheapest and best money saving idea for you to spend about 75 dollars and buy a service manual. Rocker box gaskets are not a big deal to change but get a service manual and do exactly u what it says.

I have a XR600 1990 model. I was washing it the other day and must have gotten water into the exhaust. It run but was really really rough. It then did something funny. As i was kicking it over it felt like...

Does your bike have the decompression lever? If so this could be what is jamming up causing your problems.
Otherwise what often happens is that the kick starter cogs don't mesh correctly, seeing as how you have taken the kick starter apart and put it back again and now no probs I would expect that to be your problem.
It might be worth checking your kick starter for wear, or the return spring to see if it isn't broken.

My xr250R needs the ff parts; camshaft, rocker arm, standard piston, and overhauling kit..

I would get the piston, rockers and gaskets from your Honda dealer...Here is a link for a nice aftermarket camshaft, that will pep it up....hope this helps.

1985 honda goldwing 1200 oil seems to be leaking from timing belt cover thinking maybe crank shaft gasget?

Most likely it is a valve cover gasket. There is a cam seal underneath the cam belt timing gear that is easy to replace (I have replaced two of those when the same leak appeared. The seal is part #28. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1985-honda-gl1200i-gold-wing-interstate/o/m2346#sch18022 Worst case scenario the crankshaft seal has begun to leak. It is easily replaced once you have taken off the covers, belts, and center belt sprockets. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1985-honda-gl1200i-gold-wing-interstate/o/m2346#sch16246 The seal is part #13 http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1985-honda-gl1200i-gold-wing-interstate/o/m2346#sch17585

What kind of gasget material is needed to make gasgets for a 1972 Honda SL350 from cylinders up with exception of the Cylinder head(have new one) and the metal one under cam cover

Hi you will need to get some gasket paper ( oil paper) medium thickness for the underside of the cylinders, you have your headgasket, you may nee to get a number of orings which fit around the dowels and seal the oilways ,the rocker cover should be fitted with a rubber seal which fits in a recess in the rocker cover, you could use some rtv sealent to help seal it, but dont overdo it, you have the metal cover for the breather cover. Tip check all rocker cover bolt holes for thread condition before reasembling ,

1999 VULCAN HAS OIL LEAKING AROUND THE SPARK PLUG DOWN A WEEP HOLE AND OUT THE BACK OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. WHAT IS CAUSING BUILD UP OF OIL IN THE SPARK PLUG WELL? REAR CYLINDER RIGHT SIDE PLUG

hi, sounds like the oil seal in the rocker cover has failed, remove the rocker cover and you will see a rubber seal, this seals the oil inside the cover, however when the seal fails around the spark plug hole, oil leaks into spark plug well and out of weep hole.

I have an xr250r 1996 but wen i kick start it thers no compression but can run start it sweet and theres heaps of compression how can i fix this problem

First , check your compression with a compression tester. It should be at least 100 pounds pressure just to run. Preferably 120,130,140,etc.. Some motorcycles have a decompression cable that works off the kick lever, others have a decompression lever you hand operate. I believe yours is hand operated . I think the actual lever in the valve cover on top of the motor is sticking or the decompression cable itself is hanging up and not allowing the exhaust valve to close properly.

I have a 1991 Yamaha fzr600. My bike starts and drives fine but noticed it started leaking oil. I am thinking it may be a gasket or seal but I was wondering what was this cost to get done at a shop labor...

it depends on where it is leaking,if its a rocker cover gasket it would be reasonably inexpensive but if its a head gasket it wont be,check the rocker cover hold down bolts, they have a cup washer and a rubber seal under them, yamaha use them on fj,fz,fzr,xj etc and they do start to leak after a while(the rubber starts to harden with the engine heat),they are about 30c each and are easy to replace

Oil leak out of front cylinder between cyl.head and top

sounds like a blown rocker cover gasket, its quite common, although you may have a warped rocker cover thats quite common on Harleys as well, order a new gasket, which you'll need anyway, while you've got the rocker cover off check for warp with a straight edge.if the cover is warped order a new one, Harley were recalling a few bikes not long ago to replace the same thing, but l think they were around 04-05 sporties cant be sure.
