How can I make the drums of the rock band sound come out through the tv instead of the sound of wooden drum sticks hitting the plastic of the outer edges of the drum?

Eh, turn up the volume of your tv. When me and my buddies play rock band we turn on the bose surround sound system so it actualy sound like a rockband instead of hearing the drum sticks smaking or the singers horrible voice, or the clicking of the guitar.

If you've tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps and your PlayStation 3 (PS3) is still not recognizing your Rock Band drums, here are a few additional steps you can try:
Make sure the drums are properly connected: Ensure that all of the drum kit's cables are properly connected to the console and to the drums themselves. Also, check that the dongle (wireless receiver) is properly plugged into the console.
Check the batteries: If the drum kit runs on batteries, check that the batteries are fresh and properly installed.
Check for interference: Make sure that there are no other devices in close proximity to the drums or the console that could cause interference.
Try a different USB port: If you've connected the drums to a USB hub, try connecting it directly to the console's USB port instead. Alternatively, try a different USB port on the console.
Check for compatibility: Ensure that your Rock Band drums are compatible with your specific PS3 model. Some older models may not be compatible with certain peripherals.
Check for software updates: Make sure that your PS3 is up to date with the latest system software and game updates. Check for any available updates and install them if necessary.
If none of these steps work, it may be necessary to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance.
What drum kit are you using? If you are playing Rock Band 3, you may want to check the drum options to see if the Enable Hi-Hat option is selected and change it. This can cause problems with the pedal.
Also make sure you have the pedal plugged fully into the kit and that the rest of the pas on the kit are working.
I have no problem using my Rock Band 1 drums with RB2. Remember that it will only recognize the drums if they are used at the main startup screen. Also, make sure that if you have more than one Wiimote activated that they reset off (You can only have four items max active at any given time, including wiimotes, ie: Wiimote 1, Drums, Wireless Guitar, Wiimote 2 OR Guitar 2).
To accomplish the above, reset your wii, and don't start Rockband up until ALL the wiimotes' lights go out. Then only use one wiimote to navigate. Finally, when you play the game, use the drums to navigate through the menu screens. If you use the wiimote, it will set you up for vocals only.
Ensure that the foot pedal is connected to the drums. Ensure that the drums are connected to the included Rock Band 4-Port USB hub. Ensure that the hub is connected to the USB port on the back of the Wii console.
Don't expect the drums to work as a remote until Rock Band is completely loaded. Use the Wiimote to take you to that point.
could be your connection coming loose at the usb. Check your connections and if they have a good connection I would check into the warranty on your drums. They have reported some drums that were were not working correctly.
Change the batteries in the drums (and guitar if needed) make sure the console is turned off. After you change the batteries, it should start working like new. If it happens again just change the batteries.
This is a fualty reciepter inside the drum. I have not got this game so i dont know how to open the drum head or underside. however i have expierienced problems like this before. Either something has come loose i.e receptor or a wire. Or the receptor i broken which will mena buying a new one . I suggest pening it up and very carefully without electrcuting yourself touch the receptor and see if it make the drum work.
