Have you done a compression check, all 4 cyl should be within 20% of each other... Not sure with that year but ignition points can be fouled. It bike has been sitting for 3 or months the pilot jets can be blocked. Carbies can be out of sync.. Happy to help you out if you want...
check all harness connectors inside the left hand upper fairing area near the turnsignal as wellm as under the front of the fuel tank. they are known to melt or corrode. These are issues that may have been caused from the sitting. I am assuming that it was running well when parked.
Is it getting gas properly? Has it been sitting around for a while? The carburators on motorcycles need to cleaned after sitting around. The jet could be full of varnish. Are you getting spark for sure? Pull out a spark plug and put it in the wire, crank it over and see if the spark plug sparks. When you pulled the plug was it wet at all with gas? Then it probably isn't getting gas right. Just some of the things you could try.
Most bikes before 1980 have points (i'm sorry but I don't know for sure with yours, ) however if you know, then ,,, check the points and everything connected to them, if your sure that the coil has power, then its going to be a problem in the car , ie rotor , points, or the cap itself
check that the relay box is switch if you turn the ignition of it dount replace and the bike may get spark it happend with mine. it is n small box on the rigthand side of the bike at the rear seat under the fairing the box got 6 points just make sure that it switchif it dount replace
