So i bought the bike from a dealership with 10k on it. less than 500 miles later the bike wont start. i get the carbs fixed. it ran, i took it home warmed it up and it dies. so i take it back and i get a complete head to tow -- new gas tank, jets redone or whatever they do. everything was set back to factory cuz previous owner tweaked with stuff to make it run quicker or whatever. i take it home drive it on and off for about 2 months. i let it sit for 3 months only starting it every week or so. let it sit for 3 weeks without doing anything and it wouldn't start so i took it up a hit and tryed to get it to run that way. it boggs out 3 miles and dies WILL NOT START. take it to another guy get the carbs done runs good. 5 days later WILL NOT START. i take it back get the carbs redone and a starting wiring thing replaced put specail gas without ethinal.. went outta town and my dad drove it 3 times in 2 week and i let it sit for 5 days try riding it. warm it up go 2 blocks and it dies wont start. 3 weeks on it off tryed to get it to start but wont. and now its sat for 2 1/2 months. battery is on a charger like 24/7. How do i get it to run? lol
It sounds like the float needle valves are lletting gas run into the bowl,in turn running gas into the motor, and fouling the spark plugs. Have you noticed if the oil level seems to be going UP,or the fuel level is going down? Kawasaki motorcycles are prone to leaking needle valves in the carbs for some reason. And the longer it sits, the worse its going to get.Try this,...pull the spark plugs and see if they are wet with fuel. Then, unhook the coils, and spin the motor over with the plugs out.If it shoots raw fuel about a foot out of each or ANY cylinder, then that is your problem. JUST BE SURE TO DISABLE THE COILS BEFORE SPINNING MOTOR OVER,AND DONT BE CLOSE TO THE PLUG HOLES WHEN YOU SPIN IT OVER!!
Good Luck!

Hi, im not an expert but i have had this problem with a few 125's and a 250, if it has air chambers on the manifold of the carb to the airbox check they are secure with no holes and tighten up the clips, check the throttle cable tension and throttle body, this might help or might not but as i said im not expert.

Sounds like what you realy need to do is remove the carb jets and give them a good clean , this if I am right is the twin V 8 valve engine with twin Klhein carbs , make sure also your air filter is not dirty and check tank fuel filter ,, other than that you may be intrested in the manuel obtainable from this site

Check the intake manifold/s, even a small leak will make it run poor. Being stored for five years then putting it into use, you may have a blocked main jet. Sea-foam is a great product and I would have used that product to store the bike but not to get it running. It is slow acting so it doesnt work like carb cleaner.

Check all your wire connections . A loose wire in the ignition system could be a simple fix. You could also be dealing with a dirty or intermittent contact in the kill switch or ignition switch. If you are careful some switches can be carefully disassembled , cleaned, and reassembled. This can be a fiddly time consuming fix, but it also is inexpensive. Tear the bike apart and check all the wire connections again.
