Hi untill yesterday afternoon the laptop was fine in the sense that it used to run on battery eventhough the ac mains is plugged out....but yesterday afternoon as the main power wen off the laptop literaly switched off! no it didn't shutdown, it switched as if there weren't any battery attached to it! And now i cannot power up the laptop from battery( i mean without the ac main ).This laptop is just 3 months old , so i am under warranty period, but the problem is that i am out of station and i am unable to make use international warranty offered because there aint any service center nearby. So thats y i am postin this pronlem here rathaer than taking it to the service center guys( acer service ceneter ). so here goes the main question.....what could be the problem ? is it the battery that's faulty ? why would such a thing happen ? oh almost forgot one thing...this is quite odd, even though the battery is not fuctioning well windows reports that its 100% charged, nd this never drops......
Ok it looks like your battery has run out of power thats why it would not run when ac is off.If it so happens that the laptop runs when battery is connected to ac then battery seems fine by me just flat. Conenect them to ac and run your pc,go to your control panell and power saving options and set to mimimum usage/power saving mode in this way you charge your battery.Remember bright screen consumes more power

I have the exact same problem, if i disconnect AC-power, the laptop switches off instantly. Runs perfekt on AC-powering and displays battery power at 100% in windows, but it still dies when i disconnect AC.
Frustrating
