You will need to get 4 quarts of JASO MA rated motorcycle oil, a filter, and a drain bolt washer. Get 10w-40 for cold climate or 20w-50 for warm climate/long distance riding.Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label , it will shorten the life of your wet clutch and transmission gears. Synthetic oil will make your bike run cooler and shift easier.Drain the old oil and put the drain bolt back in with a new washer. Change the filter and pour in 3 1/2 quarts of oil. Start the bike and run for a minute. Check the oil level and top up as needed.
Start engine till running temp is reached ,while the engine is hot ,remove the engine drain plug, and then remove the oil filter unit . Take great care as the oil will be hot and could burn skin .then once the oil stopps dripping replace draion plug and insert new oil filter unit .replace with good quality engine oil recommended for your bikes engine..once the new oil has been put in the engine , to required level in sight glass ,start engine and allow oil to go around the engine ,your oil level will drop as the oil filter will fill up .run for a few minutes and recheck your oil level ,and add to required level .
try using this kind of engine oil..or any brand but with the same property.."Synlube 5w-50 Fully Synthetic Colloidal Gas Engine Oil"....if not this brand....try finding same property.."Synthetic Colloidal Gas Engine oil"
