Check for corrosion at the low beam connection to the headlight. Yamaha electrical systems are notorious for having more wiring than is actually needed to make things work, so if it has separate grounds for both the high and low beams, check the low beam ground for corrosion or loose connection. Good luck!

i have a 2005 fz6 fazer with the same problem and the problem is a good one with hard answers. the right hand light is set at a different angle to the left so is designed to point in a different direction to the one on the right. its just very tricky to re align the beam settings afterwards to stop blinding a motorist infront of you. i paid the garage to do this very same problem.

hi...yes the high beam & pass light use the high beam element in the bulb....no this sounds a bit daft/obvious....but have you changed/check#ed the bulb...the low beam element hasnt blown...has it???...for the price of a bulb i would change this...hope this helps

Yes it annoys me also - always looks like one head light blown in my opinion but this is how they are set up and is very common for the newer bikes.
