Question about 2008 Yamaha Royal Star Venture
Was getting about 45mpg... for no apparent reason I'm now getting about 27mpg...any ideas?
I had same problem.....had carbs re-synced..book requires this to be done every 8k miles...If you haven't done this I think it is the first place to start....good luck...long_black_train

I have a 2007 Royal Star and it gets around 35 mpg. When it had the break-in oil, it did do a little better but when I changed it the first time, it went down to about 35 and has stayed there for 20+ miles. This may be a dumb question, but are you hanging the throttle open to raise the idle instead of using it as a choke? This is not really a solution response. Gotta check something.
