Question about 2005 Triumph Daytona 955i
I was riding my Daytona the other day and the speedometer started blinking and eventually dissappeared altogether and the bike started bucking. The check engine light came on as well. So i pulled over and the battery died, unable to startup again, I spent a couple hours charging up the battery using a battery charger and a power inverter and friends car. I was able to turn the bike back on and it was fine, except for the check engine light, so I drove it back home and threw the battery on a charger for a trickle charge.
I installed the battery today and it starts and runs fine. But the check engine light is still on.
**Also, after I installed the battery, the speedometer, temp, clock, tripometer turned off and on(just like when you first turn the bike on and the computer initializes), I found that it happened everytime the bike was tilted left or right abruptly, but never turned off/on when the bike was upright and not moved. So i shut it off and turned it back on and now it seems fine, I jolted the bike and its not turning off/on.
The bike runs fine, just the check engine light.
New Air filter
Oil changed religously.
Any thoughts. Any suggestions for diagnostic tools(I'm sure some are better than others). thanks.
I have just found my 30 amp fuse blown on my daytona , this prevents the alternator working , it was reading 10.9v before I changed the 30 amp fuse , now it reads 14.5 volts , I think I blew it as I didnt know how to put the alarn into service mode and left the ignition on , anyway I am hoping its just that , 3 heat up/cool down cycles and the engine management light should go out

Hi your bike is showing an engine problem that was recorded by the ECU data. If you do not have a problem you should run engin till fan will cat in and that should clear the foult how ever be aware that you might have a week battery that will show a full charge but internal capasity is low and problem might show again or regulator problem. If you have regulator problem you should run a bike and check with multimeter output of the battery it should be around 14.5v at 4000 pr.

I HAVE PROBLEM WITH TRIUMH 955 I SPRINT 2003, YELLOW LIGHT IS ON. FUEL INJECTION ( FI LIGHT ) BIKE CUTS OUT AFTER I REV IT UP BIKE DONT WHANT KEEP A REVS ON 1100 REV. PLASE HELP

Use key to get off back seat then there are two screws that hold down small levers under the seat take them off seat comes up.
